Activities

Everyone is invited to take an active part in Alpen-KlangRausch, to present, perform or demonstrate something. Offers that have been received and discussed with the organisation team in advance will have priority in the programme. It is therefore a good idea to contact us well in advance to arrange the best time and the right place for you, and so that we can publicise your activity to everyone.
Everyone at Alpen-KlangRausch pays the organisation and accommodation fee, even if you are performing or leading workshops, etc. If enough money is remaining after the event, then all those who have committed, by 1st August 2011, to lead a 1- or 2-hour activity will receive some of their costs back.

Performances

Everyone can perform at Alpen-KlangRausch. There is a large room and an open-air wooden dancefloor. Of course you can just go for it and play, but performances registered with the organisation team in advance will take priority. Further information about sessions can be found here.

Scheduled performances

Below you will see listed all bands, individual musicians, and other performers, as soon as they have been confirmed with the festival team.

If you would like play a scheduled performance, please contact the team via email, so that we can plan the best possible time and place for you, and so we can publicise your performance here and at the venue.

Only music free from copyright may be played at Alpen-KlangRausch. Participants going against this do so at their own risk and cost.

Sessions

Alpen-KlangRausch provides a round-the-clock opportunity to play music with others. And if there’s a stage free, then on stage too.

At each session feel free to join in or, if you prefer, dance or just listen.

Please observe the “no Djembe” rule: leave loud, heavy percussion instruments at home. The festival area has no effective sound-proofing from these instruments, which can therefore disturb sessions, performances and activities happening at the same time. Percussionists are requested to choose their instruments accordingly and preferably bring with them instruments such as Cajon or framedrums.

Between midnight and 9am no music is allowed in and around the camping ground.

Session-playing musicians will be very happy if asked, from time to time, if they would like something to eat or drink.

Only music free from copyright may be played at Alpen-KlangRausch. Participants going against this do so at their own risk and cost.

Workshops and Lectures

Important information!

There are so many workshops registered already that we are sorry to announce we cannot accept any further offers!

Our programme may always be subject to last-minute changes and with nice weather we will have more space to provide for activities, so there is still a chance you can offer workshops spontaneously. In this case please contact Möhri from the team at the venue in order to discuss possibilities and details. Priority will be given to activities registered in advance though.

Exhibitions

At Alpen-KlangRausch everyone is welcome to exhibit instruments, CDs and music books.

If you would like to exhibit something, please contact Simon from the organisation team, preferably by email, so we can plan it with you and publicise your exhibition here on the website and at the venue.

You will need to provide a table and chair(s), sun and/or rain protection. Exhibitions are held at your own risk.

Helping

Alpen-KlangRausch needs volunteers who can take on specific tasks. Volunteers will receive, for each hour worked, vouchers for food and drink. If you can work more than 20 hours over the weekend, you will receive free entry to Alpen-KlangRausch, as well as food and drink vouchers. Volunteering is at your own risk.

Apply to be a volunteer here.
